Heidi T. May, PhD

Heidi T. May, PhD is an Epidemiologist and Professor of Research at Intermountain Health. Dr. May is known as a health outcomes and investigator-initiated clinical trialist in her field. Her research interests include observational studies evaluating risk factors for outcomes, such as vitamin D, lipids, depression, risk score development and implementation, and atrial fibrillation. Dr. May has participated in a variety of clinical trials as a principal investigator, co-investigator, trial statistician, and a Data Safety Monitoring Board (DSMB) statistician. She has participated in clinical trials that evaluate vitamin D, coronary calcium scanning, CT angiography, behavioral interventions, Vascepa, lipid-lowering strategies, atrial fibrillation, heart failure with preserved ejection fraction, and fasting. Dr. May is from Fruit Heights, Utah. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and four boys. They love traveling, watching and going to the movies, watching sports, and attending University of Utah football and basketball games. Dr. May also loves to run!
