Heather Rech

Heather Rech received her doctorate in occupational therapy from Rocky Mountain College, where she developed a strong foundation in helping individuals regain independence in daily life. She currently works in an outpatient clinic setting, treating a range of orthopedic and neurological conditions. Her focus is on upper extremity rehabilitation, functional recovery, and helping patients return to the activities that matter most to them.

Heather’s professional journey has been driven by a desire to help people regain control over their lives after injury or illness. She is especially motivated by seeing patients progress from frustration and limitation to confidence and independence. She enjoys working collaboratively with patients to create practical, realistic treatment plans that fit into their daily routines. She has a strong interest in upper extremity rehabilitation, including shoulder, hand, and tendon-related conditions, and focuses on combining evidence-based treatment with functional, goal-driven therapy. Heather believes therapy should be both effective and meaningful—not just exercises, but real progress toward what patients want to do in their lives.

Patients can expect Heather to be straightforward, supportive, and focused on results. She prioritizes education so patients understand what is happening in their bodies and why specific interventions are used, which helps improve engagement and outcomes.

Outside of work, her primary hobbies include running, lifting weights, and painting. She also enjoys spending time with her husband and their dog, Mochi Doe.
