Hannah Smerker, DO, is an OB/GYN in Superior, CO, dedicated to providing compassionate, personalized care to women at every stage of life. During appointments, she strives to be thorough and to explain all available options in a clear and approachable way. Dr. Smerker believes in shared decision-making and encourages open communication—she’s always happy to answer questions, even after a visit has ended.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Smerker has a lifelong love of dance. She trained in ballet growing up, took a hiatus during medical school and residency, and has recently returned to the studio with hopes of performing again soon. When she’s not dancing or caring for patients, she enjoys spending time at home with her husband, cat, and two dogs.

Dr Smerker was so patient with me during the IUD removal and insertion process. She explained the procedure in a way that I understood. She offered a variety of pain management options. She checked in with me during the procedure to make sure I was doing ok. And she took special care to make sure I was ok after the procure as well. Dr Smerker went above and beyond what was required of her, and I am so grateful. I felt as comfortable as possible during an uncomfortable procedure.

Dr. Smerker was so thoughtful, listened to all of my concerns, and gave me some options so we could figure out the course of action that I wanted to take for myself, my body. Very glad to have found my new OBGYN.

Dr. Smerker is excellent — she not only safely delivered my baby but also managed my post partum hemorrhage (a scary time for my husband and me) professionally, compassionately, etc. I appreciate how calm and collected she is while also being direct, kind, and easy to approach with questions.
