About

About The Provider

Haley Belt, MD, is a pulmonary and critical care physician at Intermountain Health's McKay-Dee Pulmonology Clinic in Ogden, Utah. She values building strong, lasting relationships with her patients, and uses patient-centered decision making to help improve quality of life, and she especially enjoys complex cases that invite multidisciplinary discussion with colleagues to determine the best diagnostic or treatment plan.

Her clinical interests include COPD and asthma, with a particular focus on biologic therapies for severe asthma and COPD with exacerbations. She also has interests in pleural disease, pulmonary hypertension, and interstitial lung disease (ILD). Dr. Belt enjoys all aspects of critical care, including respiratory failure, shock, ICU procedures, and end-of-life care.

Dr. Belt is dedicated to the lifelong learning aspect of medicine and works hard to stay current on evidence-based treatment approaches. Her favorite part of the job is her patients — she takes the time to get to know them and treats them with the same care and respect she would offer her own family.

Originally from Texas, Dr. Belt moved to Salt Lake City for residency and fell in love with the outdoors. She enjoys skiing, hiking, camping, paddleboarding, and pickleball, and she and her husband especially love taking trips in the campervan they built themselves. Their miniature Australian Shepherd, Blu, joins them on every adventure. When they're not outside, they enjoy home cooking projects and hosting friends, and they love traveling to beautiful places that combine their love of nature with trying new food.
