Hala Omar, MD

A board-certified surgeon, Dr. Hala Omar performs general, trauma, and minimally invasive surgeries. She is especially interested in robotic, minimally invasive, and laparoscopic surgeries. Originally from Alexandria, Egypt, Dr. Omar earned her Doctor of Medicine with Academic Distinction from Weill Cornell Medicine in Qatar. She completed a General Surgery Residency with New York Presbyterian and a Trauma and Surgical Critical Care Fellowship with the University of Connecticut.

Dr. Omar enjoys diving, hiking, traveling, cooking, and spending time with her husband when she is not in the operating room.
