Garrett K Lam, MD

Garrett K. Lam, MD, FACOG, FAIUM, is a maternal fetal medicine physician at several Intermountain Health locations, including Utah Valley Hospital, and Intermountain Medical Center. He supports patients throughout Utah County and the Salt Lake Valley with clinical interests in research and solutions in maternal-fetal medicine, particularly in predicting preterm birth and treating severe preeclampsia.

Dedicated to providing the greatest benefit to the most people, Dr. Lam as been practicing since 2000. He is passionate about translational medical research and its implementation, striving to effectively translate research findings into clinical practice. He is known for his ability to make complex medical explanations understandable. He frequently uses drawings to illustrate concepts and has equipped exam rooms with dry-erase boards for this purpose. 

Outside of his professional life, Dr. Lam enjoys golf, reading, and exploring clinical projects and ideas with the industry. He is married with three sons, a dog, and a uromastyx lizard at home.
