Gabe Fontaine, PharmD is an Associate Professor of Neurosciences and Critical Care Medicine and a Clinical Pharmacy Manager in Critical Care and Emergency Medicine at Intermountain Health. As a board-certified pharmacotherapy specialist and critical care pharmacist, Dr. Fontaine is interested in anticoagulation and antithrombotic stewardship and neurocritical care.
Dr. Fontain’s research interests include anticoagulation reversal in the setting of life-threatening hemorrhage, expediting re-perfusion and treatment times in patients with ischemic stroke, and vasospasm prevention and treatment. He is also interested in the neuroprognostication in neurocritical illness.
Dr. Fontaine enjoys spending time with his family in the mountains, skiing, mountain biking, and hiking. He and his family also love the beach and since that’s not a local possibility around the Salt Lake Valley, they often find themselves in Hawaii or other sunny beach destinations taking in the sun, sand, and waves.
