About The Provider
I am a physical therapist in active practice for 33 years. I am a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy. I have subspecialties in concussion, foot and ankle therapy, jaw pain, leg amputee training, post-operative therapy and spine care. I am passionate about creating a therapeutic alliance with my patients to help them achieve the best possible response to therapy. I utilize evidence-based physical therapy interventions and have certifications in Trigger Point Dry Needling, Graston Technique, and Orthopedic Manual Therapy. I enjoy hiking, biking, and snowshoeing. I find fulfillment in educating future physical therapists as an Assistant Professor at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions.
I received a Bachelor of Science in pre-Physical Therapy in 1988 from Brigham Young University, a Master of Physical Therapy degree from Baylor University in 1990, and a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Baylor University in 2008. I was born in Provo, UT. Grew up in Walnut Creek, CA from age 6-19. I served as a missionary to Japan, joined the US Army for my physical therapy education, and served both active duty and in the US Army Reserves as a physical therapist. I mobilized to Germany during OIF/OEF at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center from 2005-2006. I retired as a Colonel with 30 years of combined military service in 2018. I have lived in American Fork, UT since 1994.
