Evangeline Fumina Kobayashi, MD

Fumina Kobayashi, MD is an orthopedic surgeon at Intermountain Health’s Orthopedic Specialty Group at the Riverton Clinic in Riverton, Utah. She supports patients in Riverton, South Jordan, West Jordan, Bluffdale, and surrounding communities focusing on upper extremity trauma, fractures, and arthritic pathologies, including shoulder rotator cuff, tendon pathologies, and more. She’s passionate about mentorship, research and progressing the technologies of the orthopedic surgery field.

The cases she enjoys most are performing shoulder arthroplasty cases due to the breadth of arthritic and fracture pathologies. For her, it is thought-provoking to create a plan and strategize the most appropriate placement and size of the implant for each patient.

Dr. Kobayashi’s treats all types of conditions involving the shoulder and elbow, and other upper extremities. The most satisfying aspect of her job is the ability to create personalized treatments plans for each individuals needs, based on their symptoms and goals. She finds it extremely rewarding to see patients regain the ability to enjoy their daily lives and desired lifestyles.

Originally from Cottonwood Heights, Dr. Kobayashi enjoys spending time with her family, friends and enjoying the outdoors throughout the seasons – golfing, hiking, and skiing.
