About The Provider
Erik Nasby, NP, is a dedicated nurse practitioner serving cardiothoracic patients in Grand Junction. With a strong clinical foundation and a passion for complex cardiac care, he is committed to delivering thoughtful, patient-centered treatment across the full continuum of heart and thoracic surgery.
Erik’s clinical interests include coronary artery disease prevention, structural heart abnormalities, and thoracic surgery, including reconstruction. He has a particular appreciation for challenging, high-acuity cases, such as aortic root replacement and complex coronary artery bypass procedures. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, Erik spent 12 years as a CVICU nurse, specializing in the care of patients immediately after cardiothoracic surgery. He valued the skillful collaboration, critical thinking, and precise management required during the immediate post-operative period—experiences that continue to shape his comprehensive approach to patient care today.
Erik is passionate about empowering patients to feel capable of achieving their health, well-being, and daily-life fulfillment goals. He believes advocacy is essential in today’s healthcare system and is not afraid to speak up to ensure his patients receive the guidance, support, and resources they need. His approach emphasizes education, partnership, and helping patients feel confident and engaged in their care journey.
Outside of work, Erik is recently married and enjoys traveling with his spouse. He loves cycling, spending time outdoors, and being with family whenever possible.
