About Eric M. Barker

About The Provider

Eric Barker, MD, is an addiction psychiatrist at Intermountain Health’s Addiction Medicine & Recovery Clinic in Logan, Utah. He supports patients around Cache County, southern Idaho and surrounding communities, with expertise in the treatment of opioid use disorders. Dr. Barker describes his philosophy of practice as one of patience and going the extra mile to assist individuals struggling with addictions to make progress in their journey of recovery.

As a caregiver, whenever Dr. Baker sits down with a patient, he reminds himself that the person in front of him is an important individual — they are somebody's child and family. He makes it his purpose to offer the exact care that he would want someone to offer his own children and family to ensure that they administer the best care possible.

He is a founding staff member of Intermountain Health's first ever Opioid Treatment Program in Logan, and is board certified in both Adult Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine. Dr. Barker is on the core addiction psychiatry fellowship faculty. He focuses on training fellows to operate federally certified Opioid Treatment Programs.
