Emmali Sue Munger, MD

Emmali “Emma” Munger, MD, is a board-certified family medicine physician providing comprehensive care to individuals and families in Lakewood, Colorado. She enjoys the full spectrum of family medicine—from pediatric to geriatric care—with particular clinical interests in women’s health, mental health, preventive care, and chronic disease management.

Dr. Munger finds deep meaning in the variety and continuity family medicine offers, whether that’s caring for multiple generations in one family, supporting someone through a challenging time, or helping a patient gain control over a long-standing condition. She also enjoys performing in-office procedures, so patients can receive hands-on care from someone they know and trust.

My approach is rooted in compassion, collaboration, and evidence-based medicine. I strive to make visits comfortable, conversations open, and care personalized. My goal is to provide care that is not only effective, but also respectful and centered on the whole person.”

Her approach to medicine is rooted in partnership. She aims to get to know each patient personally, understand what matters most to them, and work together to reach their health goals. “I see myself as a guide and resource,” she says, “not the director of your care.”

Outside the office, Dr. Munger enjoys a healthy balance of movement and mindfulness. Her favorite days include time in the mountains—hiking or snowboarding with her husband and their loyal cattle dog. She also loves quieter moments spent reading, practicing yoga, or working on a puzzle.
