About Emily George

About The Provider

Emily George, MSN, NNP‑BC is a neonatal nurse practitioner at Intermountain Health’s Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, Utah. She supports newborn infants and their family in the NICU providing high‑quality, compassionate care to critically ill and premature infants. With over two decades of experience in neonatal intensive care, she brings deep clinical expertise, vigilance, and a calm, thoughtful approach to even the most complex cases.

Emily specializes in caring for infants with complex respiratory conditions and extremely low birth weight. Emily values close collaboration with multidisciplinary care teams to ensure each infant receives evidence‑based, individualized care.

A strong advocate for family‑centered care, Emily works closely with parents throughout their infant’s NICU stay. She prioritizes education, open communication, and family involvement, helping caregivers feel informed, confident, and supported both during hospitalization and after discharge.

Originally from Michigan, Emily has lived in southern Utah for the past 30 years. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and four children, cheering them on at sporting events, dance, and tumbling. She is actively involved in her community and church, loves to travel, and enjoys tackling home renovation projects—especially when they offer a chance to learn something new.
