Elise Catherine Zimmerman, PA

Elise Zimmerman is a certified Physician Assistant (PA) specializing in Pediatric Heart Failure at Intermountain Health’s Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. She supports pediatric patients and their patients in Salt Lake City, North Salt Lake, Millcreek, and surrounding communities, providing support in heart transplants, placing ventricular assist devices (VAD), and extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO). Elise has a particular interest in heart transplants, as she finds them to be the beginning of a new chapter for patients.

Elise’s philosophy of care emphasizes compassionate, family-centered care, supporting the emotional and physical well-being of both the child and their loved ones. Elise prioritizes open communication and collaboration with families to ensure they feel informed and empowered throughout their child’s journey.

Elise completed undergraduate studies at Ramapo College, earning a degree in Music Business. She then pursued medical education at Lipscomb University, where she obtained a Master of Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) degree. Elise is board-certified by the NCCPA.

Beyond medicine, Elise values self-care and life balance, believing that a well-cared-for heart—both physically and emotionally—is key to providing the best care to others. Originally from New Jersey, Elise enjoys traveling, hiking, camping, and spending time outdoors with her dog, Higgins.
