Elaine M. Thompson, CNM

Elaine Thompson, CNM, FNP, is a certified nurse midwife at Intermountain Health’s Mt. Pleasant, Ephraim, and Manti Clinics. She supports patients throughout central Utah providing the full spectrum of women’s health, with a special focus on pregnancy, postpartum care, and family‑centered support. Elanie is passionate about caring for women, babies, and families. She enjoys every aspect of women’s health—from pregnancy and birth to postpartum care and beyond. Her greatest joy is supporting women as they become mothers and continuing to care for them and their families throughout each stage of life.

Elaine’s philosophy of care is simple and empowering: she believes her role is to recommend, educate, and then support people in their own health decisions. She values helping patients understand their options so they can make choices that feel right for their bodies, their families, and their lives.

 Elaine takes the time needed during appointments to listen, answer questions, and address concerns. She has a minimalist approach to treatment, she avoids unnecessary medications or interventions and prioritizes education, clarity, and comfort.

Originally from Montana, Elaine has lived in Utah for more than 25 years. Outside of work, she stays busy as a mom to eight children. She loves spending time with her family, reading, quilting, traveling, and exploring new places.
