Eileen Hsich, MD

Eileen Hsich, MD, is Intermountain Health's Medical Director of Heart Failure, Transplant, MCS, and a physician specializing in advanced heart failure and transplantation at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah. She is dedicated to helping patients live longer, healthier lives, and finds it especially rewarding to see patients improve through guideline-directed medical therapy, devices, and—when medically necessary—a new heart. Her clinical interests span all of heart failure, with particular expertise in sex differences in heart failure and heart transplantation.

Dr. Hsich believes patients come first. Prior to joining Intermountain, she worked at Cleveland Clinic for 22 years. She is passionate about empowering the people she cares for with knowledge about their condition, their medications, and advances in the field, knowing that informed patients are partners in their own care. Beyond the clinic, she is a dedicated advocate for her patients' health—leading clinical research in advanced heart failure and transplantation, presenting nationally and internationally to educate and inspire fellow caregivers, and serving as scientific chair of the national patient advocacy organization WomenHeart.

Outside of work, Dr. Hsich enjoys jogging, gardening, and spending time with her family.
