Edward Pyun, MD

Dr. Pyun is a general and trauma surgeon practicing in Lafayette, Colorado. He was raised in Ohio. He earned a bachelor's degree in combined science from Youngstown State University in Youngstown, Ohio. He received his medical degree from Northeast Ohio Medical University in Rootstown, Ohio. He then completed a general surgery residency at Fairview General Hospital in Cleveland, and a trauma/critical care fellowship at the University of California Irvine in Orange, California. Dr. Pyun is board certified in both general surgery and critical care surgery.

Not only is Dr. Pyun with SCL Health Medical Group - Good Samaritan General & Trauma Surgery, he will also be assuming the role of Trauma Medical Director at Good Samaritan Medical Center’s Level 2 Trauma Center. He has a strong interest in trauma quality improvement and plans to continue to grow and improve the care of Good Samaritan Medical Center’s trauma patients. 

When he is not at work, Dr. Pyun enjoys fishing and is excited to experience the outstanding fishing that Colorado has to offer.
