Denitza P Blagev, MD

Denitza Blagev, MD is Chief Medical Officer at Riverton Hospital and Professor of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Intermountain Health. As a board-certified pulmonary and critical care medicine physician, Dr. Blagev is interested in systems of healthcare delivery, chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder (COPD), and e-cigarette or vaping-associated lung injury (EVALI). Her research interests include quality improvement, air pollution health effects, and lung diseases.

Dr. Blagev is a “third culture kid” — happily transplanted from San Francisco to Utah. She is happy to join anyone for an adventure, whether it involves hiking, tennis, skiing, or travel, and is happiest when joining friends and family on the above. Dr. Blagev is a proud mom to three boys who, in a blink, have become men.
