About The Provider
Deanna Weeks, LCMHC, is a licensed clinical mental health therapist at Intermountain Health. She is dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care for anxiety, obsessive-compulsive and related disorders, trauma, mood disorders, and relationship challenges. Her approach blends Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with mindfulness techniques to help patients feel grounded and present in their everyday lives.
Deanna also draws from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to build skills in distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. Through Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), she helps patients reconnect with what matters most and take meaningful steps toward a fulfilling life.
She has completed comprehensive training in CBT, DBT, and ACT, along with specialized training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD and exposure-based techniques for anxiety disorders. Deanna also has experience treating depression, PTSD, chronic pain, insomnia, and psychosis, using approaches backed by strong research.
Together, Deanna and her patients explore their stories and work toward building lives that feel vital and meaningful. She believes no one should navigate this journey alone and is committed to supporting her patients every step of the way.
Deanna has lived in Salt Lake City for over 25 years and truly loves calling it home. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and their two bulldogs. She loves getting outdoors in Utah's beautiful mountains, paddleboarding, and playing mahjongg with friends. Reading is another favorite pastime—it helps her unwind and explore new ideas.
