David M. Hume, PT

I am a physical therapist specializing in outpatient orthopedics, with a focus on neck and back pain. I am part of the spine team and work in St. George at the Health and Performance Center. As a certified athletic trainer and a certified strength and conditioning specialist, I am well-qualified to treat any musculoskeletal or orthopedic condition.

With 23 years of experience as a physical therapist, I have developed a particular expertise in neck and back pain. My interest in rehabilitation began after experiencing numerous injuries as a bodybuilder, powerlifter, and martial artist. A physical therapist helped me rehab my injuries while continuing to train, sparking my passion for the field. Now, I am dedicated to working with patients to evaluate their needs and develop personalized care plans that help them return to their desired activity levels. While I treat people of all ages and skill levels, my primary focus remains on neck and back pain.

I have lived in southern Utah for 13 years and love the area. I enjoy spending time with my grandkids and adult children, racing motocross, riding mountain bikes, paddle boarding, and engaging in various outdoor activities. Practicing what I preach, I maintain a healthy diet and exercise daily. I am passionate about helping my patients get the most out of each day.
