David J. Kotter, NP

Dave Kotter, ACNP BC, is a board certified acute care nurse practitioner, specializing in neurosurgery at Intermountain Medical Center’s Neurosurgery Spine Clinic. He supports patients across the Salt Lake Valley partnering closely with Dr. Charles Rich to provide comprehensive neurosurgical care, supporting patients through evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment. His role also includes managing detailed perioperative care—before, during, and after surgery—to help ensure continuity, safety, and a smooth experience throughout the surgical journey.

Dave earned his Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Utah in 2005 and has worked alongside Charles C. Rich, MD, since completing his degree and certification.

Outside of work, Dave enjoys spending time with his wife, Gwen, and their four children. In his free time, he likes fly fishing, golfing, working in the yard, and cheering on the Utah Utes.
