About David G. Grygla
About The Provider
I currently care for patients admitted to the hospital, including infectious, cardiovascular, pulmonary, neurological and other diseases.
Taking care of families was the reason I entered medicine, first in Panguitch, Utah where I covered the ER, delivered babies, and traveled all over central Utah to care for families in their own town. Later, at the Community Health Center in St. George, Utah, I delivered thousands of babies and cared for a largely Spanish language population for a decade. Then, my life changed! When my wife had triplets and twins within 13 months, I knew I needed to simplify my life and was ready for a new challenge. Working as a hospitalist at Dixie Regional Medical Center has allowed me to care for more critically ill patients in ways I was unable to as a clinic physician. I love caring for those suffering from setbacks in their health and at times facing the end of their lives. The care and compassion I am able to provide reminds me every day that life is precious. Working as a physician has made me a better man, father, son and brother and as I continue to learn and grow, I hope my contribution will help people live healthier, happier lives. If that isn't meant to be, I hope I can always be able to stand with families experiencing transition and suffering tragedy.
