David Evans Peterson, MD

Breast Imaging: Dr. Peterson specializes in the detection and localization of breast cancer using mammography, ultrasound, and MRI. He also performs image-guided minimally invasive breast biopsies and image-guided breast cancer localization for surgical removal. He is passionate about identifying women who are at increased risk for breast cancer to ensure that they get appropriate high-risk screening, including screening breast MRI. He enjoys working with Spanish-speaking patients.

Molecular Imaging and Theranostics: Dr. Peterson also specializes in the detection, characterization, monitoring, and treatment of various cancers using molecular imaging and treatments. This includes interpreting PET/CT scans (including newer PSMA PET/CTs for prostate cancer, FES PET/CTs for breast cancer, and Dotatate PET/CTs for neuroendocrine cancers) as well as administering radioligand therapies for prostate, thyroid, and neuroendocrine cancers.
