David E Green, MD

David Green, MD, is a hospitalist at Intermountain Health's Alta View Hospital, LDS Hospital, and Intermountain Medical Center. He has cared for hospitalized patients with Intermountain Health since 2007, primarily at Intermountain Medical Center and LDS Hospital. He also practices as a telehospitalist, helping bring specialized inpatient care to patients wherever they are.

As a hospitalist, Dr. Green cares for patients throughout their hospital stay. He coordinates treatment, manages medications, and works with specialists, nurses, and patients’ primary care providers to keep their care connected. He's in the hospital every day — listening, answering questions, and making sure patients understand their plan of care from admission through discharge.

Originally from the Philadelphia area, Dr. Green served for several years as Department of Medicine Chair at LDS Hospital before becoming Co-Medical Director of the Salt Lake Valley Hospitalist Group at Intermountain Medical Center in 2020 and the inaugural Chair of the IMC Department of Hospital Medicine in 2023. Since 2025, he has served as Enterprise Telehospitalist Medical Director.

As a leader, Dr. Green is committed to building and improving highly effective, patient-centered care for complex inpatient needs, and to championing the work of Intermountain's hospitalist physicians, advanced practice providers, and nurses who care for patients every day.
