Dr. Darin Allred is a board certified orthopedic surgeon at Southwest Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. He was born and raised in Eastern Utah and received his Bachelor's degree from Southern Utah University. Dr. Allred completed his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Midwestern University: Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine. Upon completion of his medical degree, he continued his orthopedic surgery residency at Affinity Medical Center. He was a practicing orthopedic surgeon in the US Air Force for three years. He completed a prestigious joint fellowship at both the Desert Orthopaedic Center and Nevada Orthopedic and Spine Center. His fellowship specialized in adult hip and knee replacement, and treatment of primary and complex hip and knee problems. While in the US Air Force, Dr. Allred served a six month tour as an orthopedic surgeon for the Special Forces in Afghanistan.
Dr. Allred practices adult joint reconstruction, sports medicine, and general orthopedics. He is fellowship trained (an extra year of training) in adult hip and knee reconstruction. He has a special interest in total knee and total hip joint replacements. As part of a multi-specialty orthopedic clinic, he is considered the expert for his group in simple and complex hip and knee conditions and treatment options

I like the fact Dr.Allred took the time to explain to me my knee issue and explained I could have a partial knee replacement but few years down the road I still would need a full replacement! I really liked he was straight up about it.
