Ciara Patera, DO

Ciara Patera, DO, is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered women's healthcare in Butte, Montana. A Billings native, Dr. Patera offers comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care for women at every stage of life, from adolescence through menopause and beyond.

Her clinical interests include low- and high-risk obstetrics, comprehensive gynecologic care, minimally invasive procedures, reproductive health, and preventive medicine. She is passionate about providing full-spectrum women's healthcare, whether guiding patients through pregnancy, addressing gynecologic concerns, performing minimally invasive procedures, or helping patients navigate complex reproductive health decisions.

Dr. Patera believes that great healthcare starts with listening. She practices evidence-based medicine and emphasizes shared decision-making, recognizing that each patient's goals, values, and life experiences are unique. Her approach fosters an environment where patients feel heard, respected, and empowered to actively participate in their healthcare decisions.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Patera enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, skiing, hiking, and attending live music events. They love taking their Goldendoodle on adventures whenever possible and are proud supporters of the University of Montana. Go Griz!
