About The Provider
Dr. Cannon received his medical degree in 1992 from East Carolina University in Greenville, NC. He completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Colorado in Denver. After completing his residency program, Dr. Cannon when back to North Carolina where he completed fellowship training for both cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill.
Dr. Cannon’s joined SCL Health Heart & Vascular Institute - Brighton in 2018. His medical interests lie in coronary artery disease, including coronary stenting and interventions, peripheral artery disease, chronic venous disease and insufficiency, nuclear cardiology, and cardiac CT angiography. “I value listening to my patients and include them in the decision-making process to help determine the best course of care. Prevention is key. While emergent situations arise, the best plan is to always try to prevent illness to improve the health and wellness of my patients.”
Married with two college-aged children, Dr. Cannon enjoys traveling and all that Colorado has to offer, including hiking and camping.
