About Christopher Carcia
About The Provider
I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in physical therapy from Arcadia University in 1989, a post-professional Master of Science degree in physical therapy with an emphasis in orthopedics from the Institute of Health Professions at Massachusetts General Hospital in 1999, and a PhD in Kinesiology with an emphasis in sports medicine from the University of Virginia in 2002. Over the years, I have worked in private practice, corporate, and hospital settings, treating patients with musculoskeletal dysfunction. I have published over 50 papers in peer-reviewed journals and have completed numerous regional, national, and international presentations.
I have worked in academia for over 20 years and currently work full-time at Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction as a Professor and founding Director of the Physical Therapy program. I am motivated by the patients and students I have the honor to serve and am continually striving to learn more and improve my skills to best help others.
When not at the Life Center or Colorado Mesa University, I enjoy biking, hiking, and spending time with my family.
