Christina M. Thomas, PA

Christina Thomas, PA‑C, is a physician assistant specializing in hip and knee orthopedic surgery at Intermountain Health’s TOSH Clinic in Murray, Utah. She cares for patients and families across Murray and the greater Salt Lake Valley, treating conditions such as hip dysplasia, hip impingement, hip osteoarthritis, and hip muscle injuries.

Christina has a particular passion for treating complex hip and knee conditions and for hip preservation. She focuses on helping younger, active patients address hip problems early—often preventing or delaying the need for future hip replacement surgery.

She works closely with a collaborative team of sports medicine professionals, physical therapists, and orthopedic surgeons to ensure patients receive thoughtful, evidence‑based care. Christina partners with Dr. Chris West, a specialist in arthroplasty and hip preservation, to support accurate diagnoses and appropriate referrals.

Before joining the orthopedic surgery team, Christina spent 17 years as a physical therapist, much of that time treating hip conditions at TOSH—experience that continues to shape her patient‑centered approach to care.

Raised in a military family, Christina has lived throughout the United States including West Virginia, Alabama, Texas, Hawaii, California, Colorado, and finally Utah. Her husband served 15 years on active duty and now continues his service in the Army Reserves. Outside of work, they enjoy spending time in the mountains with their son, exploring trails with friends.
