Christel Ana Lucia Coronado Flores, MD

Christel Coronado, MD, is a hospital physician at Intermountain Health’s Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, Utah. She supports patients already admitted to the hospital providing passionate about empowering patients to take an active role in their health.

Dr. Coronado strives to answer every patient's questions to the best of her ability and is committed to staying up to date with the latest recommended guidelines to provide the highest quality of care. She enjoys the full breadth of internal medicine — from endocrine to cardiovascular to musculoskeletal — and her clinical interests include obesity medicine, endocrine disorders, and cardiovascular health.

Dr. Coronado loves informed patients. She encourages patients to look things up and ask questions — it shows a desire to understand their bodies and take better care of themselves. She is here to help patients make decisions to improve their health, not to tell them what to do.

In addition to English, Dr. Coronado is fluent in Spanish.
