Chelsey Vranes, MD

Chelsey Vranes, MD, is a gynecologic oncologist at Intermountain Health's Avenues Women's Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. She believes no one should have to navigate a cancer diagnosis alone. She understands that cancer can affect every aspect of a patient's life, and she strives to be a source of evidence-based information, trust, hope, and compassionate care throughout that journey.

The depth and breadth of gynecologic oncology is what drew her to the specialty. She values every case, from complex and extensive debulking procedures to more straightforward endometrial cancer staging surgeries. Her clinical interests span all areas of gynecologic oncology, and she especially enjoys helping women work through the complex discussions that come with personalized cancer care.

Born and raised in Utah, Dr. Vranes feels honored to return to her home state to help expand access to specialized women's cancer care. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, son, and their dogs, exploring the outdoors, traveling, experiencing new cultures and cuisines, and being with close friends and family.
