Cathie R. Fox, PHD

Dr. Cathie Fox is a psychologist in Intermountain Health's Mental Health Integration (MHI) program. She works within the medical setting to provide mental health therapy and consultation alongside your established primary care provider or specialist. MHI treatment is a short-term approach to help manage mental health symptoms that impact quality of life. During treatment, the clinic team communicates with each other to make sure you and your family are getting the care they need. If additional support is needed at the end of treatment with this provider, we will assist with a referral to a long-term mental health provider. Patients needing mental health support who do not have a primary care physician at one of the clinics listed below may contact the Behavioral Health Navigation Line (833-442-2211) for help scheduling with another provider.

Dr. Cathie Fox one of Intermountain Health's Behavioral Health Therapist Directors.  She is the clinical lead for the Mental Health Integration program in the South Market and led the development of and serves as the Director of Training for the Utah Psychology Internship Consortium.  Prior to her current role, Dr. Fox was the program director for Intermountain Primary Children’s Hospital adolescent residential and day treatment programs.  She is actively involved with the Utah Psychological Association and currently serves as Treasurer.  She has more than 30 years of experience providing therapy, assessment, and consultative services to patients of all ages with a specialty in treating children, adolescents and families. She is passionate about training and mentoring new clinicians. She enjoys skiing with her family as well as reading, gardening, and walking in her free time.
