Caroline HuYoung, NNP

Caroline “Cari” HuYoung, NNP, is a compassionate and dedicated neonatal nurse practitioner at Platte Valley Clinic – Nurse Midwives in Brighton. She is committed to high-quality, family-centered care, grounded in clinical expertise and genuine empathy for the families she serves.

Cari’s clinical interests in the NICU include caring for premature and surgical neonates, with a focus on evidence-based, developmentally supportive care. She is especially drawn to complex cases requiring close monitoring, interdisciplinary collaboration, and thoughtful advocacy for infants and their families. Working in an environment that cares for patients ranging from extremely premature infants to children nearing two years of age, she has developed a broad and adaptable skill set.

Within this diverse patient population, Cari has a particular passion for caring for premature and surgical infants. She finds deep meaning in supporting these vulnerable patients and their families through challenging medical journeys. Her experience has shown her how resilience, teamwork, and trust come together in some of the most critical and rewarding moments of care.

Cari values clear communication, collaboration, and strong advocacy. She strives to ensure that families feel informed, supported, and respected every step of the way. Her approach blends clinical excellence with kindness to ensure that every patient and family feels heard, safe, and genuinely cared for.

Outside of work, Cari enjoys activities that help her recharge and maintain balance. She loves reading, hiking with her dog, and spending time with family and friends. She has recently begun exploring new hobbies, such as pickleball, and looks forward to finding opportunities to give back through volunteer work.
