C. Richard Ahroon, MD

Richard Ahroon, MD, is a hospitalist at Intermountain Health's American Fork Hospital, Spanish Fork Hospital, and Utah Valley Hospital in Utah County. As a hospitalist, Dr. Ahroon cares for patients throughout their hospital stay. He coordinates treatment, manages medications, and works with specialists, nurses, and patients’ primary care providers to keep their care connected. He's in the hospital every day — listening, answering questions, and making sure patients understand their plan of care from admission through discharge.

As a physician, Dr. Ahroon focuses on careful bedside exams and clear communication with patients and their families. He always makes time to answer questions. When loved ones can't be at the bedside, he is happy to call them with updates.

Dr. Ahroon believes hospital care is a team effort. He enjoys working closely with nurses, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants to give each patient the best possible care.
