About Brian P. Witwer
About The Provider
Dr. Brian Witwer grew up in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. He received his medical degree from Temple School of Medicine. During his medical training, he spent a year at Harvard University at Massachusetts General Hospital in the Oncology Department. He completed his residency training at the University of Wisconsin, serving as Chief Resident of Neurological Surgery. During his training, Dr. Witwer participated in an in-folding fellowship in minimally invasive spine surgery at the University of Chicago.
Dr. Witwer joined St. Mary?s Medical Center in 2006 after practicing in Kentucky, Indiana, and in private practice in Grand Junction. His special interests are treatment of all diseases and injuries to the nervous system, spine and brain. He has a particular interest in minimally invasive spine surgery. He has been instrumental in the building of a functional Neurosurgery Multidisciplinary Team that is unique in its collaborative approach to movement disorders.
Dr. Witwer and his wife, Stephanie, are the parents of two children. When he is not practicing neurosurgery, you may find Dr. Witwer skiing, hiking or golfing.
