Brent Kennis, MD

Brent Kennis, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine physician practicing as a hospitalist at Intermountain Health's Riverton Hospital in Riverton, Utah. He earned his bachelor's degree in human biology and society from the University of California Los Angeles, followed by his medical degree from the University of California San Diego, and completed his residency training at the University of Utah. He is also conversational in Spanish.

Dr. Kennis's clinical interests include hospital medicine, critical care, and value-based care. He is especially drawn to complex, high-acuity cases and difficult diagnoses. "I believe in using a combination of evidence-based practice, clinical reasoning, and practicality to achieve the best outcomes for my patients," he says. Coming from a family of physicians, Dr. Kennis is deeply dedicated to the art of medicine.

Originally from Orange County, California, Dr. Kennis enjoys skiing, running, hiking, climbing, and traveling in his free time. He is also a dog dad and an amateur chef and baker.
