Blair K. Wagner, NNP

Blair was born and raised in Glendive, Montana. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in nursing at Carroll College in Helena, Montana. She earned a doctorate in neonatal nursing practice from the University of Louisville, Kentucky. Blair was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at 10 years old. Being in and out of hospitals and clinics throughout her childhood she realized at a young age that she wanted to become a nurse and care for pediatric patients. During nursing school, she discovered her love of the critical care pediatric patients, specifically infants, due to their extreme resiliency. Regardless of where Blair has lived, Montana has always felt like home. After starting a family of her own she wanted to raise her girls surrounded by family. St. Vincent’s NICU is the best in the state and her goal as a NNP is to be a part of a great institution such as St. Vincent.

“In order to appropriately care for the infant, the family must be cared for too. Each patient’s family is truly facing one of the most difficult times in their life and it is important for the provider to be aware of the patient and their support system. My philosophy is to treat the physical, mental and emotional well-being.”

When not spending time with her patients, Blair can be found spending time with her two daughters and her husband. She loves to knit, sew, play tennis and volleyball and recharges by doing yoga and watching movies.
