About Barbara Kelly Han

About The Provider

Dr. Han received her undergraduate degree in English Literature at the College of St. Benedict in Minnesota and her medical degree from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Her pediatric training was at Johns Hopkins Hospital, and her cardiology training was at the University of Colorado, Denver and the University of California, San Francisco. Her 4th year advanced imaging training was at Boston Children's Hospital. Dr. Han spent the first decades of her career at the Children's Hospital Minnesota/Minneapolis Heart Institute in Minneapolis, where she developed a comprehensive advanced imaging program for patients with congenital heart disease of all ages from neonates through adulthood. She additionally directed the Adult Congenital Heart Disease program and was the co-director of the Cardio-Obstetrics program. Dr. Han joined Primary Children's in 2021 as the Director of Non Invasive Cardiac Imaging. Dr. Han's clinical interest includes multimodality CHD imaging, pediatric cardiology and ACHD. Her research interests include development of multi-modality imaging education platform for CHD, and the continued development of comprehensive diagnostic risk assessment tools to optimize quality and clinical outcomes for patient of all ages with congenital heart disease.
