About Austin M. Hill
About The Provider
Austin Hill, MD is a urogynecologist practicing at Intermountain Health’s Summit Women’s Center – Utah Valley Clinic in Provo, Utah. He supports patients in Provo, Orem, Vineyard, Lindon, and surrounding communities, treating overactive bladder and urge incontinence, stress urinary continence, pelvic organ prolapse, and more. He offers a variety of treatments for pelvic floor disorders. These options include both surgical and non-surgical therapies, including a variety of minimally invasive techniques.
Dr. Hill is honored to be a part of his patients' lives and their path to wellness. He enjoys celebrating the successes with his patients, both large and small. He enjoys educating and empowering his patients so they can make the best decision for their personal goals. His favorite moments are when his patients smile while telling him how much better they feel.
He studied biomedical engineering at the University of Utah, where he learned to create innovative solutions to difficult challenges. At completion of his engineering degree, he decided to pursue a career in medicine, after realizing that engineering didn't afford him the opportunity of directly interacting with the people he was trying to help. He completed his medical school training at the University of Utah, where he found he loved surgical specialties.
In trying to find what fit his talents best, he discovered urogynecology. This is a subspecialty of either obstetrics and gynecology, or urology, and focuses on pelvic floor disorders in women. He learned that urogynecology blends the fields he enjoyed most. Reconstructive surgery requires an artistic and creative approach to problem solving. Additionally, the challenges of pelvic floor disorders lend well to engineering, requiring problem solving with unique design and thought for each person. To this end, Dr. Hill completed a four-year residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology, followed by a three-year fellowship in Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery.
