Anne E. Torkelson, NP

Anne Torkelson, NP, is a skilled and experienced provider at Intermountain Health Heart & Vascular – Wheat Ridge Clinic, with a strong background in internal medicine and nephrology. She is known for her thoughtful, comprehensive approach to patient care, consistently considering the “big picture” to support long-term cardiovascular health.

Anne enjoys working with a wide range of cardiac conditions, from preventive care to complex cases that require critical thinking and careful management. She is particularly passionate about educating patients and helping them take proactive steps to reduce their risk of future heart issues. At the same time, she values the challenge and impact of managing more complex cardiac conditions, where her experience and clinical insight can make a meaningful difference.

Her philosophy centers on the belief that true health begins within. She is a thorough and compassionate provider who takes the time to understand each patient’s unique needs, ensuring they feel informed, supported, and empowered throughout their care.

Anne has been part of the Lutheran Medical Center community since 2004, beginning her career as a registered nurse and advancing to a nurse practitioner role, where she has spent many years caring for patients. Her long-standing experience allows her to bring both clinical depth and continuity of care to her practice.

Outside of work, Anne enjoys a full, active life with her husband and two sons, who keep her busy. In her free time, she loves skiing, tennis, yoga, and traveling.
