Anna L. Newman, MD

Dr. Newman was born and raised in the little town of Spartanburg, South Carolina. She stayed there for her undergraduate studies in chemistry at Wofford College before moving to New Orleans and earning her Doctor of Medicine from Tulane School of Medicine. Most recently, Dr. Newman completed an OB/GYN residency at Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver, Colorado. As a provider, Dr. Newman’s clinical interests include high-risk pregnancies, peripartum mood disorders, and minimally invasive surgery.

“I am passionate about the field of OBGYN. It is a field that allows me to walk alongside my patients' pregnancies, celebrate their births, mourn their losses, and tackle their questions from contraception to menopause.”

A proud first-generation Vietnamese American, Dr. Newman and her husband welcomed their first child, a daughter, in 2022 at Saint Joseph Hospital. When not working, she enjoys running, reading, and cooking and baking.
