Andrew S Carpenter, MD

Andrew Carpenter, MD, is a hospitalist at Intermountain Medical Center, LDS Hospital, and Alta View Hospital. As a hospitalist, Dr. Carpenter cares for patients throughout their hospital stay. He coordinates treatment, manages medications, and works with specialists, nurses, and patients’ primary care providers to keep their care connected. He's in the hospital every day — listening, answering questions, and making sure patients understand their plan of care from admission through discharge.

 He treats a wide range of serious conditions, including severe infections, breathing problems such as respiratory failure, and illnesses that can threaten a person's life or organs.

Dr. Carpenter believes in shared decision-making. He works with each patient to provide the best care available while respecting their personal health and fitness goals.
