Andrea Chavez, NP

Andrea Chavez is a nurse practitioner (NP) working with the cardio electrophysiology team at Intermountain Health’s Utah Valley Cardiology Clinic in Provo, Utah. She supports patients across Utah County, working closely with the electrophysiology team to diagnose, treat, and manage heart rhythm disorders. Andrea enjoys working with all patients but particularly managing atrial fibrillation. It is very rewarding for her to know she can help patients who come in feeling anxious about their heart arrhythmia then help guide them through their treatment. She loves seeing their quality of life improve and providing them with tools and education that will help manage their chronic arrhythmia.

As a caregiver, Andrea believes in treating every patient as she would a family member — always doing her best to ensure patients feel heard, understood, and cared for. She loves helping patients manage complex arrhythmia and stays current with the latest research and evidence-based practices to provide the highest quality and up-to-date care for patients. Andrea truly cares about patients’ well-being and not only their diagnosis.

Originally born in Mexico, Andrea was raised in Utah. She has two amazing boys, a wonderful husband and an energetic golden doodle with whom she loves to spend all her time with. She enjoys travelling to new places, explore nature by hiking, going on long walks and the movies any time she can.
