About Andrea A. Brock

About The Provider

Andrea Brock, MD is a neurosurgeon at Intermountain Health’s Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, Utah. She supports patients in Provo, Orem, Vineyard, Springville, and surrounding communities treating brain tumors, brain metastases, meningioma, trauma injuries, herniated discs and more. She is thrilled to be the first practicing female neurosurgeon in Utah Valley and brings education with new capabilities in treating neurologic disorders to patients in the area, and she is excited to provide that care to her community.

Dr. Brock received a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Saint Louis University. Afterward, Andrea attended Vanderbilt University for medical school and completed a Master of Science in Clinical Investigation. She has done extensive clinical research, authoring over 30 published journal articles and book chapters. Andrea trained in Neurosurgery residency at the University of Utah and subsequently completed a one-year fellowship in Functional Neurosurgery. This subspecialty focuses on the surgical treatments of Parkinson's disease, essential tremor, and epilepsy. 

Andrea and her husband, Andy, love the beauty of Utah and enjoy hiking and skiing together.

    I appreciated her being direct in answering my concerns. She did not perform my surgery, but after her N.P. Seeing us in E.R. She recognized my displeasure with my surgeon and his poor follow through and offered/suggested that she would see me and try and finish my care from my surgery.
