Amy Stewart, LCSW

Amy specializes in treating depression, anxiety, emotional dysregulation, trauma, crisis issues, career/job stress, relationship/family/couples conflict, and religious angst.. Amy has been with Intermountain Healthcare for 10 years. She is a member of the Utah Social Work Association (USWA). Amy’s therapeutic expertise includes: 
•    Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), which includes refocusing memories of a traumatic incident, so the individual still remembers the facts, but doesn’t have the negative emotions and feelings they associated with the traumatic incident;
•    Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), including Mindfulness calming techniques and skills, as well as other DBT modules: Emotion Regulation, Distress Tolerance and Interpersonal Effectiveness;
•    Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), which addresses negative thinking patterns; and
•    Motivational Interviewing, which focuses on goal setting.
