Amber Carlson is a registered dietitian with clinical expertise in inpatient pulmonary care and inpatient oncology. She specializes in nutrition for cardiovascular disease, pulmonary conditions, diabetes and prediabetes, and oncology, supporting patients with evidence-based guidance tailored to complex medical needs.
Amber is passionate about helping people balance the joy of food with effective disease management. She partners with patients to reach their health goals through personalized counseling, clear nutrition education, and practical strategies that make sustainable change feel achievable. Her goal is to empower individuals to make food choices that align with their values, preferences, and long-term goals.
Patients appreciate Amber’s thoughtful, collaborative approach. She values open communication and strives to ensure that every person feels heard and understood. Her philosophy centers on active listening, understanding each patient’s unique challenges, and working together to create realistic, meaningful plans for better health.
Amber earned her B.S. from the University of Vermont in 2022 and completed her dietetic internship through Metropolitan State University Denver in 2023. She holds active registration through the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
Originally from New England, Amber and her husband moved to Denver in 2022 in search of more sunshine and warmer winters. Outside of work, she enjoys taking walks with her puppy, reading, playing board games, camping, skiing, and spending time outdoors with her family.
