Amanda Lorraine Johns, CNM

Amanda Johns is a compassionate and dedicated certified nurse midwife whose practice blends holistic and traditional midwifery with evidence-based, trauma-informed care. Her clinical interests include complementary and alternative treatments, attachment and responsive parenting, and comprehensive lactation support.

Amanda’s philosophy of care centers around empowerment, education, and partnership. She is committed to providing inclusive, complete information that enables her clients to make informed decisions aligned with their values and goals. She believes that when clients are supported and respected, they are best equipped to lead their own health journeys.

“Birth is so varied and there are many ideas of what constitutes a "perfect" birth, but the truth is that the most perfect birth is one where the person and family are centered and held. It is an honor to be trusted in that space and to witness the absolute magic of a new life and new families being created.”

With a focus on individualized, holistic care, Amanda creates a safe and affirming space where clients feel heard, valued, and in control. Whether supporting birth, parenting, or reproductive health decisions, she serves as a strong advocate and partner every step of the way.

Outside of work, Amanda enjoys spending time with her husband and their two sons, hiking, camping, going to concerts or reading the latest romantasy BookTok recommendations.
