Amanda J. Christensen, NP

Amanda “Mandy” Christensen is dual-certified as a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), with international certification in Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C), at Intermountain Health’s Orem OB/GYN’s and Nurse Midwives in Orem, Utah. She supports patients in Orem, Provo, Vineyard, Lindon, and surrounding communities, providing care for individuals aged 12 and up, with special expertise in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, perimenopausal mood changes, pregnancy, and postpartum care, as well as general women's health through the lifespan.

Mandy treats a range of conditions including anxiety and mood disorders, OCD, ADHD, trauma-related disorders, and eating disorders. She is especially passionate about working with adolescents, individuals navigating pregnancy and postpartum transitions, as well those dealing with perimenopausal mood changes.

Mandy’s healthcare journey began in 2003 when she graduated from Weber State University and began nursing in medical-surgical, home health, and dialysis settings. In 2008, she transitioned into Labor and Delivery nursing, where she found her passion for women’s health. She went on to earn her master’s degree in Nurse Midwifery from Frontier Nursing University in 2015 and has since delivered over 800 babies in Utah. Recognizing the deep connection between reproductive and mental health, Mandy pursued further training in psychiatry. She earned her Postgraduate Certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health and became board-certified as a PMHNP in 2023.
