Amanda Chamberlain, NP

Amanda Chamberlain, DNP, APRN, is a neonatal nurse practitioner at Intermountain Health's Primary Children's Hospital Neonatology in Salt Lake City, Utah. Amanda believes parents are the experts on their own child, and her job is to provide the very best medical care to her patients by providing the very best medical information to their families so they can make fully informed decisions in collaboration with their medical team.

Amanda especially enjoys cardiac cases, which she finds unique, fascinating to learn about, and challenging to develop a plan of care for. She wants families to know that she brings nine years of NICU experience to every bedside, along with a background in adult hospice nursing — two fields she has loved for very different reasons, though newborns have always been her favorite. That experience shapes how she cares for both babies and the families beside them, with attention not only to the medical plan but to the people navigating it.

Originally from Bountiful, Utah, Amanda and her husband of 30 years have four almost-grown children who joined their family as newborns through adoption. She loves wake surfing in the summer and snowboarding in the winter, and has completed several triathlons and a marathon. She also enjoys cooking, baking, and spending time with her family — especially on their annual vacation to Bear Lake.
