Alex R. Finlinson, MD

Alex Finlinson, MD is a maternal fetal medicine physician at Intermountain Health’s LDS Hospital, McKay-Dee Hospital, Utah Valley Clinic, Riverton Hospital, and Layton Parkway Clinic. He supports patients across the Wasatch Front providing preconception care, management of high-risk ultrasound and prenatal diagnosis as well as care of patients with pregnancies complicated by maternal health conditions and fetal complications.

Dr. Finlinson was born in Salt Lake City, Utah at Intermountain. He attended the University of Utah for his undergraduate degree and then went to medical school at Florida International University in Miami, Florida. He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University Missouri and his fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at the University of Kansas. His areas of interest include the management of high-risk pregnancies, placental disorders, preterm birth, and cervical insufficiency.
